There are two hot springs in Toya Bungkah one run by the village and the other is Toya Devasya Resort & Spa. It offers to host your escape to the mountain, lake, sea and escapade both in luxury and close to nature. The view of lake Batur from the hot spring bath will spoil you to the limit. Currently located in the highest and oldest rim of the caldera, Pura Batur and the village of Batur were originally located down in the caldera at the foot of Mount Batur, an active volcano. A violent eruption in 1926 destroyed both the village and the temple, except for the most important shrine, an 11-tiered meru dedicated to Dewi Danu. “Ulun Danu” literally translates as “head of the lake”.
The Balinese Hindus believe that the incompatible things such as good:bad, life:death, holy:evil, up:below always exist at the same time. The traditional Balinese “Barong Dance” has turned this into a play. This course will take you to enjoy the Barong dance, followed by a visit to the silver smith’s village, souvenir shops, the highlands of Kintamani, Tampaksiring and lastly the Goa gajah. An Indonesian lunch will be served at a restaurant in the Kintamani area.
