Goa Gajah means “Elephant Cave”, it is an ancient remain said to have been built in the 11th century. The cave mouth is designed as an imaginarily demon called Karla opening its mouth. Inside you can see Ganesha and Ringa statues. There is a men’s and female’s holy bathing area in the middle of the cave courtyard which was uncovered in 1954.
